Wanda Coleman (1946-2013) was called the "unofficial poet laureate of L.A." with a literary career that spanned over 30 years. Her numerous volumes of poetry and fiction include Jazz & Twelve O'clock Tales (Godine/Black Sparrow Books, 2008) and The World Falls Apart (Pitt Poetry Series, 2011).
